Torsion Suspension Anti-Roll Bar Bush.
Description
Torsion Suspension Anti-Roll Bar Bush. I run a 40 year old Reliant three wheeler that uses a Torsion Suspension Anti-Roll Bar to control the rear axle. The Anti-Roll Bar is mounted onto the steel chassis using two rubber bushes held down with retaining plates. The retaining plates can be easily made from sheet steel (dimensions in photographs) but the bushes have to be purchased at a relatively extortionate price: hence I decided to print mine out. I also wanted to experiment with a more fluid suspension and hence wanted to try for using solid PLA bushes made freom two keyed parts, while including a one piece version that wish to use a polyurethane version... Other classic cars use these bushes for similar reasons. Printer: JGAurora A5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% 3 Shells Filament: Regular PLA Black (or polyurethane based for the one piece bush) Notes: All support needed for prints, rafts optional. Keep same orientation for print strength. 3D Printer: JGAurora A5 OS: OS: Linux Mint XFce 20 “Ulyana” 64-bit Software: FreeCAD Version 0.18.4; ideaMaker Ver. 3.6.1.4415 FreeCAD Version 0.18.4 was used to create all of the designs...
