Openforge 2.0 2in long magnetic wall base.
Description
I wanted a magnetic tile solution that will work with openForge's other wall options. So I made one. I haven't printed it yet but I will in about a week (that's when the magnets I ordered will arrive). I included its fusion360 file in case you want to modify it easily. I know that there are more wall tiles that I need to make but I want to make sure I have the basic wall made before I make anything else. I made the slots where the magnets go a capsule shape because there is no space where more than one magnet could go. The idea is that the magnet will roll to either side so you can still place it on either side and still get equal magnet adhesion. Update 1: V1 had some minor measurements that needed to be adjusted to fit with devon jones bases (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2740279) more specifically there were a couple of things missing in V1. Here is a itemised list * My base was slightly too short * My bottom holes (where the 5mm magnets go) a bit too small * My base has an extra slot where the clips go (I realized that if I didn't have that slot missing the clips might be hard to remove. * My base was missing a bevel at the bottom (I saw that the original has a bevel. This was likely added to reduce elephant foot.)
