Dry Erase/Chalk Board Frame Kit
Description
The invention of the dry erase board changed the world of organization, and a much cleaner alternative to chalk. Spruce up and chalk or dry erase board with this modular frame system! Originally designed because the metal frame pieces I had on my whiteboard had become too damaged. Used to protect edges of the board, as well as look a whole lot cleaner! Basket is wide enough to fit standard rectangular dry erase eraser (pictured) as well as standard and "skinny" expo markers. Used with 1/4 inch thick whiteboard, easily compatible with chalkboard as well. Corner pieces are attached using #8 3/8 inch (5mm) long hex head screws. You can do two in each corner mount piece for extra security, however one in each corner is sufficient. The screws are not meant to go into the board too deep, it is only to keep the corner mount fixed to the board. Corner mounts are universal and can go on any corner, as long as it's 90 degrees. Corner pieces can be mounted with small metal/plastic 3M hooks (pictured), screws or nails, Heavy duty 3M strips, as well as any other kind of small hook (i.e. Gorilla hook/monkey hook, etc). I suggest having something attaching all 4 corners to the wall, as drawing on the board tends to make it bounce if it's only mounted at the top! Edge pieces were uploaded in 1 inch (25.4 mm), 3 inch (76.2 mm) and 5 inch (127mm) increments however these pieces are easy to scale to the precise length that you need, or whatever length your printer will allow. Pieces are slightly bowed inwards so that they will stay attached to the edge with friction, however glue can be used if so desired. (The STL images don't show it, but there is a small round protrusion on the front of the edge pieces that line up with the corner pieces. However, these pieces can be used in either orientation for different desired appearances.) Also, the basket I only made to fit onto the bottom left corner. If there is enough demand for a basket in the bottom right, I will gladly make one. Please let me know in the comments!
