RC boat antenna mount
Description
Usually in all marine RC vehicles the antenna is somewhere in the hull, presumably underneath the water level and orientated sideways or horizontally. Anyways that afflicts the range drastically. I designed this rx antenna mount that sticks out of the hull, so that the antenna is higher up and oriented vertically. My mount is designed for cheap frsky clone reciever RX-F802. The antenna fits snuggly into the mount, if needed pile the mount a little bit. I am also attaching the solidworks giles if you need to tune it. The antenna mount is designed to fit in an 8mm hole (so use a 8mm drill bit) and is designed to be glued in place (expoxy/marine grade sillicone). I am also attaching a cap, if you ever move the antenna or stop using it, so that you can cover the hole (until you do the propper fix). Be sure to thorougly think about the placement of the antenna mount, so that it doesnt obstruct any other part (sailboats) or that you cannot mannuver your fingers and insert the antenna.
