Reel for Control Line Wires (inspired by the Prusament filament spool)

Description

This is a line spool for storing control line wire. It is the same size as the molded Russian ones used by Combat fliers and was inspired by the design of the spools used for Prusament. The parts snap together. If necessary, you can use superglue, though they do seem to be pretty secure. You can print the spool in two parts, or three parts. If you want to print a three part spool, print Base Plate A, the Top Plate and the Hub Band. Base Plate B is a combination of Base Plate A and the Hub Band. I find it quicker to print the three part spool, but the two part spool is better for overnight printing (Base Plate B takes more time to print than Base Plate A plus the Hub Band). The Hub Band should be printed with the "rabbit ears" pointing down, though it might be best to assemble the reel with the ears pointing up (if you use the holes in the hub to trap the initial end of the lines). You could also assemble the reel with two Base Plate Bs and a Hub Band, or a Base Plate B and a Base Plate A if you so choose. If you are new to control line flying, remember to reel in your lines in by rotating the reel - don't wind the wire onto a stationary reel. This is especially true for steel lines, which are easily damaged. If you need a larger reel (or a smaller one) you can enlarge or reduce the size of the parts in your slicer. I also include .123DX files in case you wish to edit the models (using Autodesk's 123D Design).
