Star Trek TNG Isolinear Chips
Description
- Update 11/5/21 - Noticed my chip's measurements were off from the original prop, so I updated the dimensions and changed the way it's printed to look better. It requires transparent/translucent filament (PLA, PETG) to make the circuit visible underneath the surface. The label is separate and is wrapped around the top to resemble the prop. The original solid style is also included with the size corrected. This model uses color swapping to achieve multi-color, done with a single extruder printer by automatically pausing at a layer, manually changing filament, and resuming. Check your slicer for this feature. Label: print at .05mm layer height and swap colors at the text's first layer. Top: print at .2mm layer height and swap colors at the circuit pattern's first layer. Use a fine tip and apply very tiny drops of glue inside each corner of the bottom before inserting the top with the pattern facing down. Face it up if you don't have transparent filament. Bottom: print at .2mm layer height. The custom dock fits these new ones, and the display stand is included. The PLA filaments I used for the light blue and yellow ones were 3D Solutech See through Aqua Blue and Yellow, RepRapper silk white (circuit). The dark blue, orange, and green ones are PETG by IEMAI and the circuit pattern is CC3D white PETG. The tags were done in Ziro matte white and Overture matte black.
