Big ol Mock scope with working reticle / hologram
Description
Ok so this is a larger scope than my other working scope but it works the same. I would print the lens holders @99 or 98% so they go in freely. Used DVD plastic for the lens, and the other layer of the dvd for the mirror. Designed for use with LED stick from walmart which are $1 here and they can also do a blinking pattern for a blinking red dot or reticle. Honestly you can use whatever light/ flashlight you can get in the hole. The finger lights that I used for my other design actually work better and are much brighter, but like I said, whatever light you can fit in there works. DO NOT USE A LASER. It is angled to bounce back to your eye. Use sunglass lens for the front of the scope when you get the reticle perfect then glue it. I used a thumbtack to help the reticle hole open, and I did print without support material but it will need a little cleanup if you do so. Also there is a little discrepancy with the rail mount, it has a layer missing and my computer shuts down whenever I try to fix it. Depending on layer height settings and print orientation, it may not even skip the layer for you, but it did for me. this results in a small part of the mount breaking off even at a weak point, but there is still plenty left , and it is a clean flat break. Another thing that I've noticed is that the rail mount is a little small, so everything may need to be scaled up just a hair for a nice fit. I have not yet fully completed this build, but I have tested the function and it works. The idea is the same as my other designs, but this one is a little easier to work with maybe. And it just another look variation. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!
