Description
This is a two piece print for Enders running direct drive setups, primarily PrinterMods Modular Direct Drive 1.2 (or 1.3 likely). **10/4/20** Added a new version that feeds much more smoothly. Stepper Shim.stl fits behind your extruder body like the stock shim. PTFE Spring Coupler.stl is large enough for a bed spring (the cheap ones, although the nice yellow ones would work, too) to fit underneath. This lets the filament "give" some during primes, delaying resistance on the nozzle when drawing more filament. It works *really* well. **Original** DD Filament Guide.stl - Replaces the shim between the stepper and extruder body, adding a holder for a PC4-MC6 PTFE connector. Better version below if you have a spring handy. ~~DD Extruder Body.stl - Replaces any generic 4mm thick extruder and the extruder mount/carriage plate spacer with a single extruder body. This is stiffer and less fragile than the stock spacer. It also fixes the stock spring overtension issue; altered springs may not work.~~ Removed to keep working on this.
