TronXY X5 Display Mount Brackets (Customizable)
Description
I finally broke the weak right display mount on my TronXY X5. As you can see on the image showing the original parts, the right hand side of the display was just mounted using some 1mm plastic extrusions shaped like a bridge to give it some strength. Well, the design worked for about three years and I am the second owner of the printer so it some what worked. However, since I used an upgrade kit ( https://www.thingiverse.com/make:588144 ) to get a dual lead screw bed I added spacers to the display mount, to avoid a collision with the bed when printing next to the Z limit. Since the thing was broken now anyway and I now know how to use FreeCAD properly, I decided redesigned all three parts (actually two and one mirrored). I designed the spacers into the mount itself, so it is one part now. The new mounting brackets are very strong and will for sure not break anytime soon. Even so I measured all parts I did not notice that two of the screws holding the display were smaller, so I needed to replace then. You need three times M4x20 and M4x10 for proper mounting. I also added three washers for force distribution to prevent the acrylic from cracking at the mount joint, when I hit the display the next time. These are optional of course, but it kind of looks better this way. I included a version without spacers to act as a plain replacement on a non upgraded TronXY X5. As always the FreeCAD source file is included, so you can modify the mount to your liking. These files will also be added to my TronXY X5 upgrade kit enhancer thingy: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3350811 Happy Printing
