Manfrotto Monopod Adaptor

Manfrotto Monopod Adaptor

Description

I discovered that the best tripod for a small 360 camera was a Manfrotto monopod with a mini-tripod on the bottom. This works because the Manfrotto monopod comes with one camera screw thread at the top, and one at the bottom.... If you get the right one... I bought the wrong one, and have been planning to make an adaptor for it ever since. I couldn't think of a good way to attach a 1/4 camera screw to the model until I spotted zx82net's use of a 3/4 to 1/4 adapter screw, so I've used his. It's quite hard to screw in the adaptor, and there is a 50/50 chance that I accidentally mirrored the screw thread. It looks right though... I made a cutting tool in tinkercad to scoop out a hole for the monopod foot. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/icWrQlzfSeD-monopod-foot-hole I've printed it at 50% infill, and still twisted off the head while trying to screw in the 3/4 screw, so I thickened the neck a little, and it's working now. I designed it for an M7 nut and bolt, but don't have them available, so I went with a random bolt and some washers. it seems pretty solid.
