CR6SE Direct Drive Conversion with Dragon (E3D V6 / mosquito style) hotend
Description
11/5 -plate v6 and shroud v6.2/3 uploaded -added tabs to the shroud and new mount holes to the plate for easier mount/removal of the fan shroud -shroud v6.2 can be used with the original hotend -shroud v6.3 is notched out for the larger round heatsink of the dragon hotend -mnt_bttm and mnt_top are designed to sandwich the strain gauge 10/24 - mount bottom v3 uploaded -- enlarged area that fits into the strain gauge (may need a touch of sanding to fit, v4 will have that fixed) -- made cutout for the dragon frame to fit snugly into the bottom of the mount 10/15 - plate v5.5 - moved the breakout board onto an angle to make it easier to reach the potentiometer - mnt_top/btm - rearranged the mounting holes a bit and split the mount in half to go on top and bottom of the strain gauge between the heat break frame and bowden connector 10/11 - added a 5mm block to the back of the plate to hit the x limit switch, using a 15mm nozzle offfset on the x axis as well to adjust for the wider plate 10/10/2020 - currently printing v4.2(.1) and will post final photos once finished mounting. V3.2 was just a little snug all around and complete pain to mount. Plus it put the fan duct too low, so I'm currently running it with no parts cooling fan. After seeing things from BostonBowser and Charkear, and then seeing the price of a mosquito hotend, I decided to play with the go-3d and phaetus branded dragon hotends, for an all metal direct drive conversion. They're nearly identical to each other and are clones of the E3D V6 slash Slice Engineering Mosquito hotends. I lightly remixed BostonBowser's direct drive plate, removing the mount for the 5015 fan and adding a few screw holes. I included their original files for the button, extruder bracket, and wire management pieces. I used charkear's mosquito mount as the beginning of my design, filling it in and adding new holes using 3dBuilder. I also lightly modified dpetsell's hotend fan mount for an e3d v6 hot end with 40mm fan. Apparently the Bullseye license doesn't allow for derivatives, so I can't link it as a source here. I have included their Bullseye Ender 3 Pro duct as well. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2759439 Shroud v4.2.1 makes use of RichardRobinson's v1.2 of 40 to 30mm fan duct adapter so that both of the original fans can be used. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4610687
