Thread Adapter (customizable, 3/4" 18tpi to 1" 11.5tpi US garden hose)
Description
I needed to run my own supply and drain hoses for an SPT countertop dishwasher, because I didn't have enough space on my countertop. The supply line is easy because it's already US Garden Hose Thread, and high-pressure water supply adapters are readily available from local hardware stores. But the drain line is a seemingly-custom 3/4" 18tpi plastic arrangement that doesn't seem to fit any off-the-shelf parts. This threaded insert fits inside any larger female thread (in this case US garden hose) and adapts it down to fit over a smaller male thread (in this case the 3/4" 18tpi.) Please note that you'll need to find appropriately sized rubber washers, because garden hoses and many other water hoses/threads create a seal not by having watertight threads, but by using threads to tightly force flat "pipes" against a rubber washer. Picking a thread size largely depends on ensuring enough space in between the hose size and thread size to put a washer that will create a good seal. NOTE: the photo shows off the "wrenchSizeInches" parameter which makes the threads flat on two sides to aid with insertion/removal. It's optional and set to a very large size in the uploaded SCAD file because my printer had trouble printing it without support or warping.
