The Laptop Thingy Mabober
Description
The Laptop Thingy Mabober will allow students to place their laptops on top at an angle. On the right side there is a compartment that allows students to place their homework inside or any paperwork. On the left there is pen and pencil compartment. The front also has a pen and pencil compartment but this is for tools they use frequently. In the front there is also a text saying "do what ever it takes", reminding students that we most all work hard during these difficult times to accomplish bigger goals in the future. 1.What issues did you come up against? The main issue I came up against was getting the right angle for the laptop placement. I didn't want it too steep, since I want students to still be able to type comfortably. 2.If you could redesign this again what would you change? If I could redesign the Laptop Thingy Mabober I would add more storage on the paper holder section. I will make 6 different sections to match the amount of periods students have in High School. 3.How would 3D printing help strengthen your design? One way 3D printing can help strengthen my design is using the filament MakerBot tough. Since it is stronger than PLA, the original material I planned to use, it will be able to last longer. Using this material may also make my 3D design lighter because it will require less material to hold the laptop. #studentchallenge
