Sandblaster Blow Gun Mod
Description
This is a modification for an air blow gun to allow for abrasive blasting. It has a star pattern imprint on one side to lock it into place with the nozzle adapter. I use fine salt as a medium for smoothing 3d Prints. Side note: When i release the gun lever, a huge amount of salt keeps on flowing out for a few seconds. This can be avoided by turning the gun 180º before the release (hence the necessity for a locking mechanism that prevents the bottle from twisting sideways). To install the mod, simply slide it over the nozzle, till it sits in place. Mark the location of the hole for the medium to flow through and use a metal saw or a file to remove the material. Mount the gun mod and tighten the screws all so lightly. Beware: For blasting i am wearing a simple face masks, goggles and gloves. A water separator in line with your air compressor is a plus, especially when using dissolvable blasting mediums. I printed the gun mod without supports.
