ODROID C4 Kodi Box with LCD Display Mount

ODROID C4 Kodi Box with LCD Display Mount

Description

A remix of "ODROID C2 Kodi Box w/OLED Display Mount" by WebClaw, Thing 2890736. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2890736 The base plate can hold either an Odroid C2 or C4 or the standard Raspberry Pi. I modified the display panel from WebClaw's design to fit a 3.2" TFT LCD (ILI9341-based, SPI connection), using the internal frame details from this design by Pezantros: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4392425 With the translucent piece in the front panel, the IR receiver for the Odroid continues to work. For assembly, four M3x5 screws are needed for the display and two M3x16 bolts with nuts to hold the base, front, and feet together. For the Odroid C4 I used pieces from a "Brass standoff spacer" kit ordered previously from Amazon. Those spacers use M2.5 screws, so I really should have made the holes on the base a little bit bigger. Just something to be aware of. If you are editing the base plate, a cutout for easier access to the SD card could be another change to consider. This was my first 3D-printed project, and I don't have a printer of my own. I just went through an online printing service and used PLA as the material. I don't know enough yet to discern whether that was a good choice or not! Everything came together, though. I wrote a short Python script to make the info/display screens for the LCD: https://github.com/mattblovell/kodi_panel You can find more information about the LCD display, including relevant physical dimensions, on LCDwiki: http://www.lcdwiki.com/3.2inch_SPI_Module_ILI9341_SKU:MSP3218 **UPDATE:** (31 Dec 2020) I also created a version using Waveshare's 4-inch HDMI display, making the base plate changes I mention above.
