Modified Business Card Calipers
Description
I absolutely love the idea of making things myself, whether that be personalized business cards or my own tools, so when I saw the original model of "Business Card Callipers" by Ebuka I thought it was a great idea. I just had to print it myself, and it works great! On the other hand I am always looking for ways to improve the things that I make. In this case I saw something that was missing from the original model in comparison to other calipers. I am not sure what the the technical name for them are, but the parts that come in contact with the object being measured can only measure the outside diameter of objects, but in cases where you want to measure the inside diameter you wouldn't be able to with the original model. So what I changed from the original model was I added a small "fins" on the opposite sides to be able to measure the inside diameter of objects. Both the original and this one can measure objects down to the mm, but this new model allows you twice the opportunities to prove your skills. I would recommend using supports with this model, but by using them it may make the models to not slide together too freely. This issue can be fixed by simply putting the model together and sliding up and down a few times. No sanding will be needed, and the models can be used as soon as the supports are removed.
