BED LEVELING TEST PAD
Description
For all of you that have been using various celulose based feeler gauges...look no further This is a printable first layer adhesion test for everyone that think global warming and autoleveling function is a hoax... fake news ladies and gentleman Works dandy on glass because glass is usually flatter than other non-machined beds and thus better (at least in my case) Test pads are for beds 200x200, 300x300, 400x400 How it works? Import to slicer Slice with your favorite settings, without brim/skirt Leveling process: - Start printing, lower the feed rate maybe - During the print observe first layer height, width, adhesion and adjust bed height corners accordingly. Raise the corner if stringing, lower the corner if scraping, smearing or nothing extrudes until even adhesion occurs. Watch your fingers. - Repeat the process every 50-100 prints or whenever you need to do it again (e.g. after component change, transport...) Tip for clear glass heated beds, clean with dishsoap, dry, install. No masking tape, glue, hairspray, bat wing soup, bird milk, toad slime, snail slime, eel slime, dry llama spit,.... and other malarkey. Feel free to add other popular adhesives used in first layer printing in the comments The printed part could be used to frame some ugly photos or as a square just in case you freshly run out of squares Take a look at my other designs: https://www.thingiverse.com/thesloppyapprentice/designs Take a look at my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqKU0euRjGItYjY0grGPFjw I bet you find this design somewhat helpful, saved you some bucks on not buying a automatic bed leveling setup and just the thing description is worth at least 20c so feel free to leave a tip, I accept cryptocurrency also although it is harder to buy "a cold beverage" with it. thanks
