Mesh cover for dog wound 5

Mesh cover for dog wound 5

Description

Similar to previous versions, except this one is slightly higher, and I deleted the fragile wings (which didn't print well at all). The previous version seems to be working (with the fragile wings snapped-off on purpose, since they were useless). Two issues: (1) The mesh/web (which is off the skin) didn't print well because it was "floating" on top, so I put the whole thing upside down, which should make it easier for the printer, and, thus, make a stronger mesh/web, and (2) the "top" (which touches the skin) is somewhat sharp; my dog does sleep on it, and doesn't appear to be in any discomfort or pain, but, there is an indentation on her skin where the thing touched her; I can't figure out a way to round or square off the top edge (I tried chamfering, putting a torus over it, etc, to no avail); at this time, my only recourse is to sand down the entire "top" just a fraction (maybe 1/32") to make it less sharp. So, to be clear, the "thing" is upside-down, such that the mesh/web should be at the top, well away from the dog's skin/fur/wound, facing the owner, while the bottom is the "hollow" space that goes over (but does NOT directly touch) the wound (i.e., in my dog's case, the wound is about 2" in diameter, and this "thing" is 3" x 3-1/2"). I'll post a photo showing what I mean in the future (I keep forgetting to do so, every time I change/clean the "thing" after daily use!).
