Acro thigh camera mount for Paragliders or PPG
Description
Performing acrobatic maneuvers with paragliding or paramotoring has inherent risk of line tangles with the head mounted camera. Several acro pilots avoid head mounted cameras for this reason. My paramotor instructor, Kyle Mooney, loves performing acro with his paramotor setup. He suggested this thigh mounted camera idea, and it resulted in the current design. This model (SCAD) can be customized for individual thigh dimensions. The trick is to use a piece of paper to outline the thigh size at the length of the model (like in the attached pic) After printing, you can attach the gopro mount to it, wrap the printed part with duct tape for extra strength, and cut out the holes. Add foam or cloth at the bottom for cushion after using duct tape. Use velcro or elastic straps to attach the printed part to your thigh.
