Solder fume extractor with wiring box
Description
I added a little box to hold a barrel jack, a switch, and the excess fan wire. The picture shows the fume extractor without the filter installed. Bill of materials: * 120mm PC fan, with screws * 130x130x10mm carbon filter (same as for the common Hakko fume extractor) * \#6-32 threaded inserts, 2pcs * \#6-32 countersink screws, 2pcs (you might have some of these left over from PC cases) * 1/4" panel mount toggle switch * 5.5x2.5 barrel jack (seems to be the most common for 12v power supplies) * 12v power supply Edit the OpenSCAD file if you have different parts on hand. I also used a bit of pin header to attach my wiring to the fan plug, but you could hardwire it if you want.
