GEPRC MK4 SAM-M8Q RAISED REAR GPS MOUNT
Description
Found a few mounts for the M8Q GPS unit but everything always seemed to have too much interference from other electronics and made locks extremely slow. Needed to get the unit up and away from the frame a little. On top the battery worked, but I really didn't like any of the designs for that. I just didn't want to have something that I had to mess with every time I swapped a battery or re-did a strap. so this thing was born... It mounts to the rear two top mount screws using original hardware. The cables then routes down under the top plate and up to the FC. The angle keeps the GPS fairly level when in forward flight so GPS lock stays pretty consistent. Seems to aquire fairly quickly now and signal when monitored via u-center is better than it was anywhere else on the quad, even on top the battery.
