02j gear shifter bushings
Description
Your 02J gearbox should have very smooth gear changes and if you're experiencing notchy gear shifts, grinding or you simply can't select first, second or fifth gear chances are your shifter side to side bushing is gone. These 3D printable bushings will replace your damaged OEM ones and will mitigate this problem. Look up online on how the center console is removed for your car, there are plenty teardown videos. Also look up "Dieselgeek's first gear getter" to get a general idea on how this bushing works. Please print these models in PETG at minimum, Polycarbonate ideally. Make sure you use plastic-safe grease on all surfaces. Please consider buying a shifter rebuild kit from Dieselgeek. Although this model does work with no issues, consider it a temporary fix until your ordered parts arrive.
