MP5 magazine loader - multi-use
Description
“If you have to ask, you’ll never know. If you know, you need only ask.” - I contemplated leaving the summary as this one simple line quote to describe the model but instead will provide more details. ------------- DETAILS BELOW ------------- ------------- **** #### THIS DESIGN IS A WORK IN PROGRESS (WIP) #### **** **** #### Use of these files in absolutely any manner is at your own risk and for hobby/test use only! These files are covered by Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) #### **** This design is an attempt to create a printable reloader for use with magazines from the MP5 family. I am not a professional designer/engineer, CAD expert, etc etc etc...purely novice and a hobbyist. This is a short time, quick design that allows me to use the same 3D printed loader with HK and POF metal magazines as well as polymer magazines such as those from AC-Unity. Print tips are below and reference the screenshot uploaded or Prusa project uploaded: - PETG or ABS for solvent resistance, albeit PLA would work - Designed for .2 print resolution with a .4 nozzle, the finer the better! - If using Pursa Slicer print on 0.20mm QUALITY - Print 100% infill - Print with supports enabled on print bed only! I prefer .2mm interface pattern spacing with 1mm pattern spacing for PETG. - Optional: Use salt remelt method to add extra strength - Print the lid with the top facing up - Print the main body with the top facing up (aka pocket for the nut facing the bed) - Print the tensioner with the flat portion facing the bed ("U" shape) - Spring that is easy to find is a unistrut spring nut, just cut off the spring! Spring length is 33 mm/1.3 in uncompressed. We want some spring tension/pushback! - Use any screw that you would like that will fit the hole! Hole diameter 5mm, max length from bottom of head to end of screw should be 30.5 mm. Screw I used was a hex head, fine thread, with a length of 30.5 mm.
