Chain Slack Tool - KTM 5mm to 8mm

Chain Slack Tool - KTM 5mm to 8mm

Description

Remixed for a 2010 KTM 65 SX From brnoffroad For early model KTM dirt bikes with 5mm to 8mm of chain slack, measured from the bottom of the swingarm. (1) Position your bike so the rear wheel is off the ground (2) Position the tool at the back of the chain slider. Ensure the tool is resting on the bottom of the swingarm and that it is square with the back of the chain slider. (see images) (3) Push up on the chain to "take up the slack" in the chain. As you push up on the chain, be sure the chain aligns with the alignment post. This will ensure the chain is in the correct position. You may need to rotate the wheel forward to backwards to help the alignment. (4) Look through the sight windows in the tool. If the top of the chain is visible within the sight windows, the chain slack is within spec. (see images) (5) If your chain is not within spec, adjust the chain according to your owner’s manual and repeat the steps above.
