House at Battle of Germantown

House at Battle of Germantown

Description

A representation of Chew House (Cliveden) - a focal point in the Battle of Germantown during the American war of Independence. I had to extrapolate the rear of the house from modern photos which show a more recent extension, and I couldn't find any paintings of the rear of the house during the AWI (apart from one artist who clearly either made it up or painted a different house! The photo shows the building in alpha at 0.7 of the size included, which was a bit big for 15mm figures and a tadge small for 28mm figures but it was the lowest size I could print at without losing the individual window panes, Anyway it broadly represents a wealthy colonial property at the time of the AWI
