Sliding Valve Engine Remix
Description
This is my remix of kmccon's sliding valve engine. Please forgive me as I may have several versions of the same upload with different comments as I am unable to confirm which upload went thru successfully. Remix: 1) New weighted flywheel. Slip in 5 3/8" bolt nuts (14.2X8.4 mm) 2)Tighten specs on crank shaft in order to get a better fit on 608 bearings. You will need a bit of filing/emery work on the eccentric and flywheel for snug fit. 3 Integrated hose barb/sliding valve cover. 4) An adjustable slider. This allows for more precise adjustment of valve timing. With valve cover off and the eccentric at either fully extended or contracted position, align slider valve with port holes. You will hit the "sweet spot". Print finishing is not the best but I was concentrating more on the running efficiency of the engine. With this print, I am able to operate the engine by simply blowing into it. I operate the engine "dry" as I don't see any difference with or without lubrication.
