Driver for motor focuser Skywatcher PDS telescope
Description
Update 2nd of Jan 2021: added a simple txt file with the Arduino sketch code for a modified version with a speed switch UPDATE 20th of Dec. 2020, added an improved version: A new version with a 3.3mm hole for a M4 thread cutter. Use a M4 grub screw on one side. Use the bigger 4.7mm hole for the cutter since the shaft of the M4 cutter is a little bit wider than the front part. The opposite 3.3mm hole is just to give the cutter space on the opposite side during you cut the thread. Do not use 2 M4 grub screws, just one! This is a driver for a motor focuser for an astronomic telescope. It is the Skywatcher PDS version and fits to thing design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2063325 and this here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3593910 So if you like to build your own motor-focuser for a Skywatcher PDS Newton telescope this part can be used for this motor: 28BYJ-48 stepper motor with driver: https://lastminuteengineers.com/28byj48-stepper-motor-arduino-tutorial/ SW and schematic can be found here: https://github.com/fehlfarbe/arduino-motorfocus There is also a hand controller box available: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4688424 A video in German language is available here: https://youtu.be/3kMCKCz9AI4 There is also good information about the stepper available: https://lastminuteengineers.com/28byj48-stepper-motor-arduino-tutorial/
