One of the most noticeable change to the slider are the new telescopic feet which provide better support for heavier payloads. Belt tensioning has been made easier and I have made many small changes to the part tolerances to hopefully make the build go a little smoother. • Coming very soon- 6 key Sequencer, Video Turntable, Focus motor and an alternative balanced Pan Tilt head. This project is still under development and I am working hard to make it as professional a system as possible. To this end please be sure to down load the most up to date model files before you start printing as things may have changed. Slider Updates include 1) Processor upgraded from RF-Nano to much more capable ESP32 2) The Nextion display is no longer tied to the slider but is WIFI connected to all parts of the system and can be moved around to suit your working preference. 3) Improved carriage locking mechanism 4) New lower carriage timing belt arrangement allowing easier belt tensioning. 5) Telescopic feet to spread the load more effectively Pan Tilt Head The Pan tilt head can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4842363 The following improvement's have been made since the first video introduction was made. 1) The pan tilt head now uses a 1:50 gearbox on the Tilt which will allow it to move heavier camera setups. 2) The pan motor has been enlarged also to allow for heavier setups. 3) The head now has an RJ45 port for the forth coming Focus motor. Video Turntable The video turntable has had a complete redesigned and is know just as capable but smaller more compact than the previous design. Significantly it can also be used mounted to the slider as a simple Pan head. This will also be available for download before the end of April. The Focus Motor The Focus Motor is ready but I have held off releasing it pending the release of the new six key sequencer which is really essential to most rack focusing moves. The focus motor will be available here Dec 21. Part 4 will be the DigitalBird focus motor. Will be released Dec 21 Part 5 will be an alternative balanced Pan/Tilt head design using smaller motors. Disclaimer: There are a lot of parts to this project which must all work together and a lot of room for error in making this happen. While I am more than happy to offer advice this will be your build It all works for me! In terms of software this will continue to develop with some additional controls and features on the way. However the project is still under development. There will undoubtedly be bugs in the system along the way which I will work hard to overcome given a little time and hopefully a little help from the community.
