Gloves or dog boots dryer (ABS pipe compatible)
Description
I created this thing to dry the boots of my dog, but it could be employed to dry other items like gloves, socks, etc. I have made one of the following clever things: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2470413 Which works ok for my application, but I wanted something with more airflow. You`ll need to print one of each of the files with the exception of the following which you`ll need 4 of each. Air pipe Butterfly valve Valve knob These air pipes take a long time to print. If you want to save on filament I made the lid compatible with 1.5-inch ABS pipes (at least on paper, I didn't have any to try out). So, if you have some spare ABS tubing, you could just cut some, open holes on those. ABS pipe should work almost as well as these and you could make them "as long" as you want.. You`ll also need 2-56 screws or similar to attach lid to bottom and to attach the butterfly valves to the air pipes. The screws need to fit tight into the valve knob so that this assembly rotates as one. You may also opt out from printing these valves. They are useful if you are drying less than four things at a time. You don't have to make the valves ... there are other creative ways to close the vents if you don't want air going out of some of them. My designs have to be scaled x10 to get the proper dimensions.
