Magnetic voronoi chess set
Description
A voronoi chess set that allows the placement of magnets in the base, additional space is added such that the magnet can covered with a cap or some piece of cloth if preferred. I used ferrite magnets with a diameter of 20mm and a thickness of 3mm and 3D printed a small cap for the bottom to make the magnets invisible. I added pieces with a solid base as well. The pieces are nearly identical, only the base is different. In contrast to the hollow base versions, the base of the solid pieces can be printed without support. Additionally I build and painted a wooden chessboard which allows the board to be magnetic or not, depending on the configuration. If people are interested I can share these files with guidelines as well. To give some kind of reference of size: the king is ~85mm large and has a diameter of ~35mm.
