Soda can mug and ladle
Description
IMPORTANT: Never use 3D printed stuff for food and drinks. ( And be careful with sharp aluminium ) I switched to washing powder to reduce plastic waste so I needed something to measure around 150 ml of it. My idea was to reuse some rubbish instead of buying something new and a soda can looked as the best candidate. The first design was the ladle one, using a disposable bamboo chopstick as a handle, but it's not suitable to scoop powders. It could works good for liquids. The second design, the mug one, worked perfectly for me. INSTRUCTIONS: Cut the top of a slim soda can Pour in it the max volume ( of water ) you want to handle and mark it Cut the can as accuratelly as you can one cm abow the mark Put some glue on the rim and on the inside of the mug handle then press the can in the slot. Use a couple of rubber band to hold everything in place For the ladle one, insert the chopstick in the hole and glue it BEFORE the can. NOTES: I've also added a rim without any handle. You can use it as a base to model your own handle or print it as it is just to protect the sharp edge of a cutted can to make a vessel, flower pot, pen holder or wathever. If you want to design a similar thing for other soda can sizes, the sweet spot for the slot size in my case was 0.5 mm.
