Artillery Sidewinder X1 Y Axis Linear Rail

Artillery Sidewinder X1 Y Axis Linear Rail

Description

I wanted to convert my Artillery Sidewinder X1's Y-axis to linear rail. I didn't find a good version so i designed my own version. The file "Bohrplatte" is a drilling guide where you need to drill 3mm holes. You don't need to drill all 12 of the holes, it depends on how many sliders you have on the linear rails. I used one slider on each rail. The linear rails are 400mm long and they are 40mm staggered. Each linear rail is fastened with four M3x8mm screws and T-nuts. The model "GT2" needs to be printed two times. I have added two long holes so i can screw in two 30mm M3 screws with the heads cut of. They stiffen up the belt anchor point. Only one M3X6mm screw and nut is required to bolt one part on. The file "Endstopholder" is a riser for the original endstop. You can use the original T-nut but you need a longer M3x20mm screw to fasten it. Since i am using an BL-Touch i also mounted the bed after this solid without the springs. I just used some Spacers i had laying around. you will lose around 10mm of z-height with this mod, because the linear rails are higher than the V-rollers. Also the "cheap" chinese linear rails (MGN12H) are a bit louder than V-rollers, but not much. Have fun with this modification. You need this: 1x M3x20mm 8x T-nut 8x M3x8mm 8x M3x6mm 2x M3 Nut 4x M3x30mm (with heads cut of) 1x Bohrplatte.stl 2x GT2.stl 1x Endstopholder.stl
