Ender 3/5 and CR-10 Filament Filter+Guide+Runout Sensor Trianglelab
Description
Combined a fixed filament filter and a guide to avoid the annoying noise the clip-on filament filters do when hitting the extruder after retractions, and added a mount to install a Trianglelab filament runout sensor. All in the most compact and reliable I could find using my own side spool holder design. This filter fits in the Z Axis Rod brass insert OEM screws. _I initially designed this for an Ender 3 V2, but most Creality printers seem to share the same extruder mount and Z rod design. Looks to be fully compatible with all the Ender 3, Ender 5 and CR-10 family of printers._ __One additional M3x16 or M3x20 bolt is needed for the filter hinge.__ With the 20mm bolt you can use a hex nut, but due to the tight fit, it is not completely necessary. Therefore an M3x16 with no nut is perfectly fine and looks cleaner. The Trianglelab sensor already comes with the necessary M3 bolts and nuts. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32829808063.html __Only 1 cap/cover design is needed.__ I am using the Lightweight version but I also included a fully closed version. _Installation:_ 1. Mount the cap/cover to the base hinge with an M3x16 / M3x20 bolt. 2. Slide in the runout sensor tabs on the T-Slots in the back of the base. 3. They will be tight the first time, do not hesitate to use a bit of extra force. Make sure the parts are clear of support debris, overhangs and overextrusion. 4. Mount the Trianglelab sensor on the tabs with the included M3 screws and nuts. 5. Remove the two Z Axis rod brass insert bolts. 6. Careful not to lose the 4 tiny washers. Make sure there is one washer per hole between the brass insert and the gantry plate. Leave the other pair of washers on the bolts. 7. Fit the filter assembly over the holes and use the previously installed bolts to screw the filter in. Make sure to use the remaining pair of washers on the bolts. 9. After installing, do not tighten these bolts too much. If they are too tight they can mess up with the Z Axis precision. If possible use a bit of threadlocker. 10. After the installation, fill the filter with two pieces of 20x15x10 mm foam/sponge.
