2 inch LR Disco 3 Lift rods

2 inch LR Disco 3 Lift rods

Description

Lift kit for Disco 3 SE or HSE (with air suspension), similar to Johnson Rods. Adds 2 inches to your vehicle height.
I'm using this kit on mine for like 20k km and it still works like a dream. Not as great as XLifter or similar lift controllers, but great if you want to try how higher suspension settings acts like. If you will decide to keep this installed on your car for a longer time, I recommend you to let some car mechanic adjust the wheel geometry. No extensive wear on any parts was observed during last two years of using this on my own car. Also, no significant increase in fuel consumption was observed, but it mostly depends on your driving style. The suspension is a bit harder now. Cornering is more swingy, but not as much as you'd expect. No suspension out of range faults in offroad mode, but be careful with accelerations in low range gear ratio. *Print from some flex material, Fillamentum 92 - 98A or something.*
How to install:
- Start your vehicle and raise it. Wait until your air pump will run out. - Open driver's door. - Turn engine off. Keep the door open during the whole proces! - Support your car with some bricks or something to prevent it from lowering. - Take a flashlight, lie down under your beloved Disco and replace the suspension sensors rods. Greasing joints is highly recommended. * Rear rods are placed behind wheels between sensors and upper suspension arms * Front rods are placed up above front wheels. - Remove bricks and start your vehicle. - Close driver's door and wait until the air pump goes off. Also, you can watch your car rising to incredible heights :-) Standard disclaimer - I don't take any responsibility for anything written here. Don't be an idiot, just use your brain and and the world will remain a great place :-) Please, let me know if you try my desing, I'll be glad to hear someone is using my solution. Of course, tips also appreciated :-) Standard height rods (no lift) also included.
