Makita Battery Charger Pegboard Adapter

Makita Battery Charger Pegboard Adapter

Description

The Makita battery chargers don't have built in pegboard mounting option. I tried the screw from the back into the rubber feet and found it pretty temperamental and hard to fix when the feet slipped out of the charger (happened often). So I designed an adapter to use the charger on pegboard with solid screw down mounting for better reliability of the mounting. It is designed for pegboard with 1" spacing and 1/4" holes. Mounted with drywall mounting hardware of appropriate diameter and then cut the plastic plug short (see pictures). Screws included with mounting hardware were used to attach the bracket to the battery charger. Screws removed from the battery charger were used to mount the bracket to the pegboard. This effectively swapped the longer screws for the shorter screws and reduced throw away waste. The rubber plugs from the charger were set aside in case I ever wanted to use them again in the future. I used 2 pieces instead of 4 because I don't really care about optimizing print time or material cost, just wanted something sturdy and installed very easily and quickly. Up arrows embedded same some material and show which way is up (assumes up is same orientation as text on the front of the charger). The L (left) and R (right) embedded text show which side to mount the bracket to the charger assuming same definitions of orientation. I've successfully used on DC18RC, DC18RD, DC18SD. Happy printing!
