Ender tilted Z rod axis fix gauge ruler set 16-19.9 mm

Ender tilted Z rod axis fix gauge ruler set 16-19.9 mm

Description

This is a gauge that will help you measure gap between your z rod on Ender 3 and vertical frame. Ender printers don't have Z rod mounted straight up. It's tilted at some angle. If you're realigning the Z motor to make Z rod vertical, you need to measure how much it's tilted. This set of gauges will help you to get to inaccessible gap just right above stepper coupler and between Z axis rod and the frame. There are 4 gauges, they start at 16 mm, 17 mm,18 mm and 19 mm. Gauges gradually increase in width and have 0.1mm steps. Check your ruler precision using caliper. Try to put your ruler on flat surface standing on it's edge and check if it's laying flat. If not, it has precision problems. IMPORTANT: I've tried to print this ruler and dimensions of steps are off up to 0.3 mm (in my case larger, which means real measured gap width is larger than indicated). Your ruler will be precise only when you have calibrated your printer for dimensional precision. Otherwise you have to relabel step distances. This gauge was designed to be used while mounting these Z motor mounts: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2752080 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4705219 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4626495 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2925230 https://www.thingiverse.com/make:525824 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2932344 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3434253 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3516416
