EVA2 kit for BLV MGN Cube
Description
Mounting kit for the EVA v2 (https://eva-3d.github.io/eva-main/) on the BLV MGN Cube printer (https://www.blvprojects.com/blv-mgn-cube-3d-printer). Official page of this extension kit is here https://contrib.eva-3d.page/printer-compatibility/blv-mgn-cube/ The standard EVA hotend carriage was designed for printers using 9mm belts with a different orientation than the BLV MGN Cube. This kit provides all the parts needed to use the EVA on the BLV MGN Cube. The parts are fully compatible with EVA v2, but only with the extruders/hotends that use the universal face (e.g. NOT the Titan Aero). Possible issues: - the extruder motor from the default BOM for the BLV MGN Cube is larger than what EVA recommends (25mm pancake motor) for the BMG direct drive option. As such, you need to drop the cable mount in order to make room for the larger motor. See this thread for updates https://github.com/EVA-3D/eva-main/issues/17 - EVA 2.2.0 does not support the dc42 mini IR Z probe, but it's close to getting support. See this thread for updates https://github.com/EVA-3D/eva-main/issues/9 A note on belt parallelism and dimensional accuracy: Dimensional accuracy is slightly affected towards the left and right site of the print. The amount with which it is affected is very very small, however. In my case, at the edge of the bed, the distance between the belts is ~33mm instead of the standard 24mm, at a carriage distance of 81mm from the pulleys. That means that the belt angle is arctg((33-24)/2/81) = 3.18 degrees. At that angle, instead of pulling the belt 1mm, you actually pull cos(3.18deg) = 0.998mm. I think that 0.2% (at worst, towards the edge) is ok. You have far worse errors due to filament shrinkage.
