Description
HSKRC XL_ Landing Gear / Skids This is a landing gear setup I designed for the HSKRC XL_ drone frame (preferably XL7-XL9 arm lengths). It uses a plate to mount onto the bottom of the assembly with M3 screws (countersunk-side up), and suits 16mm wooden dowel or carbon fibre tubing. Each coupling or joint has M2 sized fastening holes for a regular or grub screw. The 30 degree member is suited for legs that are 300mm long, feel free to use substitutes to achieve the leg angle that you desire. Assembly steps: -Locate the countersunk holes on the mounting plate - this the up-facing side. Fasten the brackets to the outer set of holes like detailed in the provided pictures; the holes are toleranced so that screws are self-tapping, but please use bolts for extra support. -Mount the baseplate to the drone frame by unscrewing the outer arm screws, and using longer M3 hardware, re-fasten through the holes of the baseplate as well as the frame. -Assemble the leg components as shown in the pictures provided. If the couplings are too snug of a fit, lightly sand down the dowels or tubing with sandpaper, or cut a relief slit halfway through the coupling's length. Use M2 screws (self tapping) in their respective holes to secure the leg members.
