Pinecil holding collar/grip
Description
This is an add-on for Pinecil soldering iron. You can fit it at the front of the iron to decrease the distance from the tip to grip. It is also possible to slide pinecil's silicone sleeve onto the grip to make it even more "grippy". It fits very tightly so you have to press it firmly. It holds onto plastic case and is also supported by the tip ring. It is possible to exchange the tips without removing the grip. It also has a flat surface on one side so it doubles as a simple stand for the pinecil - the pinecil won't roll and the tip will be quite a bit higher in the air than without the extender. There is a "bumpy" version that has more grip and a flat version if you prefer that. I've printed it from pet-g but you can use any filament (pla is not recommended - too low melting point). There is no support required but the part has some 45 degree angles (inside). I haven't tested it in a situation when you use the iron for extended periods of time with the tip constantly hot (like several hours). It may overheat at some point even though I designed it to have good clearance from the hot tip. You may have to use some sandpaper to smooth inside surface that holds pinecil case and tip, especially if there is a visible seam there. Otherwise, it may be too tight to fit it onto pinecil case or the tip may get stuck and not move all the way trough the grip as it has to.
