Disk cage for USB disks
Description
Goal: - have cage for up to 8 USP disks (up to 4TB each) - have compartment for RPi 4 (with fan-less metal cover) - have place for USB 3.1 Hub - with power on mechanical switches - have place where all the cables for that could fill in - do it in lowest possible time/material cost Design 'tricks' for speeding up printing yet getting relatively robust design: - have plenty of openings (holes) both for cooling the thing and for lowering the material cost - no support (specific design of holes was needed) - no raft (front lays on the heated bed) - no z-hop used - reduces time at the cost of mess that needs post-processing (removal of 'wires' and thermal improvement of edges - requires good leveling (hm... every print does) - requires testing of filament for optimal thermal data (I use 205/63 with initial higher temperature by few deg) Print was paused a number of times with minimal issues (mess with filament 'wires' left 'in the air'). Print requires stable external conditions (I have around 23C 35%) Normal design uses over 1kg of filament with 14 days of continuous print This design used quarter of this with 3 days of printing. BEWARE! this was printed on my printer. Your printer can have issues. This design is still 'in progress' and may be improved in future. This Gcode / STL is dedicated to the public domain non commercial use. If you want design improved in a specific way or to be commercially used (for example - in the company or for sale) please contact the author which can provide service on the business basis.
