Wall Anchor for #8 sheetrock screw
Description
The most overpriced item in the fastener world has to be the lowly wall anchor. You have to shop for them in places with little respect for masking and add the cost of transportation to the bottom line. Well #ftijpi! I did not like any of the existing designs on Thingiverse, so I designed my own. This is the third and final iteration. It is designed for use with #8 sheetrock screws which I have in abundance. It is a slight interference fit in a 1/4" hole. It is printed in white PETG at 0.2 layer height, 0.4 width and takes about 11 minutes each, about $0.02 per part. I recommend printing a minimum of 8 pieces at once to allow sufficient cooling per part.
