This is a healthcare heroes special edition blue heart remix of the Cu NANO V2 pen. It is an individual effort to say thank you to local NHS heroes in Gloucester. So they have one less thing to constantly think about when trying to remain sterile all shift. Designed based on the classic biro. The inks and ballpoint are the type found branded as Bic Cristal Original Ballpoint Pens. Cheaper biro clone ben ink and ballpoints should work as long as it fits the 4mm Dia interference fit on the pen body. Printed in Blue Copper3D PLActive antimicrobial filament. I designed this to make 100+ pens to give to local healthcare heroes using my remaining stocks of blue copper nanoparticle filament. The vaccination and critical care effort in Gloucester UK has been something to behold, an example to the world. Vaccinations are outpacing infections. We finally have hope, thanks to the brave heroes fighting the pandemic daily. Pushing past their limits, each facing their own personal battles with burnout. I thought that giving a gift embossed with blue hearts could be a constant reminder and symbol of the support of the wider public. A symbol of hope that upon contact, is hostile to the microscopic enemy we collectively face. A symbol of hope, that also helps reduce fomite spread. Special edition 3 special edition pen variants: Keyring hole variants only as intended for use with lanyard holders. Added heart emboss to top of pen above hole. Keyring hole changes to heart emoji form. 2 special edition CAP variants: -Standard, as per V2 except: Embosses changed. Keyring hole changes to heart emoji form. Additional chip & pin button presser -NoTouch, as per V2 except: Embosses changed. Keyring hole changes to heart emoji form. Added single missing tooth serration. V2 Design features: -No supports -Prints flat for strength along layer lines, prevents snapping -Chamfers to break sharp edges -Sacrificial bottom layer, set first layer to 0.2mm and rest to 0.1mm, combats elephants foot -Serrated clip to prevent it slipping off a pocket -Tapered cap with ribbing and guide rail micro features to grip the pen body firmly whilst allowing it to be removed relatively easily. Works like a stiff peg. -Holes for lanyard or keyring attachment. -Emboss to indicate is made of copper nanoparticle impregnated filament. -Single breather hole, similar to a biro, to break airlock and let ink flow. small enough so if the ink cartridge leaks it should remain within the pen body and struggle to leak out.
