Mellow Fly Screen 4.3" Sidewinder X1 Mount

Mellow Fly Screen 4.3" Sidewinder X1 Mount

Description

Screen Mount for fitting a 4.3" TFT Screen from Mellow Fly Maker to your Sidewinder X1. This screen can be used for Marlin or RRF Duet Firmware, I have converted my X1 to RRF using the FLYF407ZG and a Raspberry Pi as SBC using the great work of TeamGloomy here: https://teamgloomy.github.io/index.html Flymaker posted a STL for the 4.3" TFT in his Discord server but was designed for the ender series printers, I took the basic shell of this Front screen mount and cut it down to its most basic form. I then created a back casing for it. I also took the Just the Internal part of the TFT35 mount from the: BTT TFT35 Sidewinder mount - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4179249 And modified it to create a mounting plate that I could fit to the sidewinder to mount the Fly Screen to. I created holes in the modified TFT35 Mount plate to install 4 x M4 Hot Melt Inset Nut that I purchased from: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001407970757.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.670a4c4dDXF9SX In the Backing plate for the TFT Mount I used M3 Hot Melt Inset Nuts from the same link. Fitment was easy, just install the inner plate from inside the X1 as is with the TFT35 mount using original TFT mounting screws, fit the Back plate to this inner plate using 4 x M4x8 Screws, then fit the 4.3"TFT into the TFT case, fit over the mount panel, then screw down from the front using 4 x M3x12 Screws. I may make some modification in future, little concerned about Heat inside the case, but I wanted to get my machine up and running first to see how it went and test fitment. If it gets too hot I may add some vents top and bottom, but will run it for a while and test. Not all TFT's get hot, so will see how it goes. Photos show it all installed. the extra Cable Route is for my USB Cable from My Webcam, routed internally to connect to the Pi, mounted on this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4257585 (Note: I am not great at design, so this was all modified in Tinkercad, can always be improved!!!)
