Sandmann Space Ship No1 Space vehicle for the Sandmann (German: Sandmännchen) born 1959 in the GdR. The condensed rerelease based on thing 4015527 It was published 2019 , locked since 21.1.2021 The world outside is no playground. Defending freedom, human rights, civil rights, preserving ethical values requires creativity. History needs to be told to the following generation. The thing This is my take on making a simple space vehicle for the childrens beloved favorite cute Sandmann. https://abload.de/img/sandmannfrei0ej0w.png It is in advanced but uncompleted stage still. It goes step by step, making one detail after the other. Be kind enough to the cute man, do not call it an EAST German product. It was not. Stupid western unfriendly, violent, aggressiv, devaluating speech. Respect history and the poeple who lived worked and loved there since the end off WWII. . The arm chair has some controls on the arm rests on the sides. It was part of a lifting system. The seat could be brought down through the bottom of the capsule reaching the end of a clear tube. The lower position allows the Sandmann to esacpe the space ship for walking through the outer space. On the evening video they had combined moving down/up motion with the realistic noise of suctioning air (similar to hydraulic system). The console on the left has many indicator lights and controls of the sliding potentiometer style found on sound mixers. The picture shows the bag with the sleepy sand (left groove with lid) and the thrust pistole (right groove with lid). https://abload.de/img/sandmannconsoletrkud.png . New decoration LED ring, more space inside. New easy dome adapter ring for the sphere with the flange ring outside. New dome adapter with integrated beveled ring for the console (a.t.m. with no instruments). With the introcuction of some error correction values it makes a pressfit now. Have headed over to the opposite half sphere. It is much more vorgiving dimensional deviations, since it relies on a single inner circle only. Have printed an adapter for what they call the top half sphere. New canopy (cheap plastic, no acrylic) has arrived. They are sold as a pair. Have adjusted the dome ring and the console ring for that thing. Make it Free the figurine from the Lunochod modell. See the picture. Drill / cut through four tabs (red circles). Two starts are hidden (see the residues after cutting - the blue circles). . The Sandmann figurine has a metal tab with threaded hole on the butt. Modify the chair a bit. See the pictures . You can make it if you have a good running setup and all parameters under control. As long as the parts are related to each outher it should work on any printer. . The first part accuracy really matters is the dome adapter ring. It must match the dimensions of the purchased part as it is. . If you like it, the banderole and the LED could be replaced. See the picture. The man sitting on the chair it can not be more the 42mm tall. The helmet just fits the canopy. But, wait. What about the Sandmanns hat? It fits. Be aware when choosing the LED's. Update 2021 I do recommend using clear or mildly yellowish tinted LED. This makes them the lightguides feeding the light to the outside, Nowaday I'm using the modern WS2812 LED on preassambled ring. The initial design was made using LED with the specs below: -body diameter 4.95mm -shaft diameter 5.9mm -body with shaft collar (no leads): 8.9mm The Sandmann Story Background story of the cute Sandmann (German: Sandmännchen) Made in in the GdR starting in the early 60ies, but still alive and active. Unfortunaly they have captured all the requisites made over a period of 40 years and later on. The TV-managers are pressured by politics and nasty, greedy stupid silly private TV-stations. They are showing the typical illness, making money from everything. High quality pictures are hard to get by. No blueprints available, everything to be reconstructed from low res pictures and the daily transmission on TV. Many GdR Sandmann videos can be found on YT. Some provided by RBB TV station from huge archive. The transmissions are typically 10 minutes long with a short story between arrival and departure of the Sandmann. But the old days it was low res TV, evenly black and white. . The 2009 TV mini Lunochod It does not fit the spirit of the makers of the little guy.
