Cooler master hyper 212 Evo AM4 standoffs
Description
Cooler master hyper 212 Evo AM4 standoffs. Uses the stock bracket. So, stock AMD coolers suck and I wanted to use my old 212 Evo on my R5 3600 after i upgraded from Skylake, but the AM4 kit was not available locally. With the help of reddit to get the height right and some trial and error I designed these standoffs for use with the stock bracket on the cooler. The only downside is that the cooler may be twisted a bit to one side and not perfectly vertical, depending on how well you wiggle the bracket into position. Pic showing this attatched below. Unfortunately I have only tested on my Asrock b450m pro4-f motherboard, results may vary on other boards. P.S. yes, i know i am using only 1 stick of ram, i will get some decent ram when i have the money for it. Attatched images under post print section show : Overview; -Early version showing the bracket mounted onto the motherboard. I found 15.5mm to be slightly taller than needed; -Final 14.8mm tall variant. In everyday use on my personal PC since May 2020; -Temperatures during Ryzen master stress test, this was the peak value using Arctic MX-4 paste; -Temp drop 3 seconds after 1 minute stress test ends, room temperature is 24°C; -Size of recess you press the bolts from the motherboard's bracket in, if for some reason yours are different; -Resulting twist of the cooler from the way the stock bracket is. Picture is at an angle, so it is less noticeable in person;
