Description
Casing for a Motion Sensor I custom built for use with Home Assistant. The Casing is designed around these parts: - HC-SR501 PIR Motion sensor - Wemos D1 Mini ( or similar ) ESP8266 board - Basic Photo Light Sensitive Resistor ( Photoresistor ) This sensor then allows you to sense the level of light in the room as well as motion. For the ESP8266 board, I used this one and it worked well: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B076F52NQD Important to note, this is quite small and does not have room for batteries, I power my sensors from the USB that is accessible from the bottom. UPDATE: - Back now screws on so you don't destroy your project when you make a mistake, Like I did. - I've added an additional back with side area & Lid for a DHT-11 or DHT-22 that you can add if you want a multi-sensor that can track the temperature as well. The lid for this temperature section still needs some glue.. But it's an easy and nice setup.
