Corbeau Dwarven Elite with Hammers
Description
This elite unit is made with experienced warriors, often the tallest and the strongest of their kind to be able to swing huge hammers into the battlefield. They wear large armors, which add to their impressive presence among a dwarven army. To make them, I had in mind the fact that I hate the GW models showing dwarves holding hammer above their head in a strange movement which should end in the neck of the unit's front rank. I wanted to make a more worthy unit with noble and right standing, cold blooded elite fighters and not a warband with wild drunk smelly dudes. Each model is made of four parts: body, feet on the base, hammer head and shield. The leader is the only one who has his own "feeted" base. Each body is on the same basis but with head turned and decorated differently (nude, circlet, helmet). You can add more personality to the group by turning hammer's heads on various angles. Be careful with that tip and check that your model can stack on the second rank of the unit before gluing the hammer. I also made a standard which can take the place of a hammer's head. Note that the models on the picture have 110% the size of the downloadable ones. I resized them after having printed my whole unit so that I'm stuck with those a little bit too tall dwarves. Yours will be better.
