Shoulder Rig_part3 "Friction joint adjustable arms and custom multifunctional handles"
Description
This is a video on how to use a 3D printer with 3D modeling and printing to create a universal extension arm and handle (fusion of rosette and friction joint adjustment) for a shoulder rig. (If necessary, use the link below to download and use the shared file for free.) This shoulder rig extension arm and handle is designed to be compatible with other accessories with Arri Rosette connections. (The applicable rosette diameter is 32mm or 31.8mm.) For the shoulder rig base plate, see the video and files from the previous episode_01. It is designed to reinforce M4 x 25mm screw in the center to reinforce the thin neck of the ball head. When adjusting by loosening the friction joint, a rubber ring with a diameter of 25 mm was used to prevent the joint from loosening too rapidly and to make it easier to adjust. Some parts (in particular the clamp -diameter 1 inch- that fixes the ball head was not easy to fix strongly with the 3D printer output, so off-the-shelf products were used as parts. The right and left handles are custom designed to mount a wired remote controller (FOTGA RM-VS1) and a tiltable wireless follow focus controller(TILTA Nucleus Nano), respectively. You can change the left and right settings according to your preference. Made with 3D printed output, this shoulder rig Arm & handle has the advantage of being light, but lacks strength in terms of the physical properties of the 3D printed material. (The maximum weight depends on the material of the print or the internal charging speed, but for safety, be careful when using it with camera equipment that is too heavy.) It is recommended to use metal products for screws and some parts. Other parts -Rosette connector - 2pcs -M3 x5mm screws (roset connector x 4 pcs) -M4 x 10-12mm screws -M4 x 25mm screws -Butterfly Clip Aluminum Arm Clamp Holder (1 inch ballhead)- 2 pcs -Rubber "o"ring (diameter 25mm) - 2 pcs File sharing is for sharing ideas.
