GoPro Hero 9 - quick release clevis mount

GoPro Hero 9 - quick release clevis mount

Description

Most GoPro mounts have one problem in common - they're tight, really tight and it can be a struggle to remove the GoPro when you need to change lenses, SD cards or access the menus, plus that problem only gets worse when its cold and the material is less flexible, so I have designed this mount to make it super easy for the camera to be removed. By using a cotter pin to hold the two sides of the mount together it means we can have the best of both worlds, a nice secure mount that adds protection for your GoPro, plus the camera can be removed in just 4 seconds. The camera mount is a clamshell design, so it will need to be printed in flexible material such as TPU in order to allow it to open up. The mount is kept securely closed by a cotter pin and a R-clip prevents it from working loose. Requires 3 cotter pins with R-clips (you can alternatively use split pins, or ring loops) m4 x 40mm (qty 2) for where the mount attaches to the base m4 x 25mm (qty 1) for the top of the mount Here's how I printed them - they can be fairly tricky to print and get clean removal of the support material, so take it nice and slow and make sure your printer is well calibrated. Main body, rotated 90 degrees around Y so the lens side is touching the build plate Base rotated 30 degrees around X, then 90 degrees around Y so the 'legs' are printed with continuous lines Cura Settings ....
