Makita LXT 18V Battery Mount V1g
Description
This is a fresh upload of my V1g files. I updated my V1f to V1g, but Thingiverse appears to mess up if you load new files onto an old print, hence the post duplication. If you've ever wanted to make use of those Makita LXT 18V batteries, you are going to want a solid and clean way to get to the battery terminals. This 3D print provides a plastic plate that slips onto the battery, snapping on just like a Makita power tool. The electrical terminals connections are reproduced using a genuine Makita spare part (643852-2), glued into place. You will need to source those separately, but relatively inexpensive for a Makita part. The 3D Makita LXT 18V Battery Mount is designed to directly and firmly fit the Makita 643852-2 Battery Terminal spare part, though I use epoxy resin glue to secure it permanently in-place. I've now created several projects based on this design, altering the basic width and length to accommodate a custom 3D printed box cover to fit the project. For strength and rigidity, I use PETG for my 3D prints. My print is made in PETG 1.75mm 3DFillies black filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 35% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. I hope you can find this print useful, too. (Lookout for some of my 3D prints for my Makita battery projects and share your thoughts.) Updates: -------- Version F - Changed the 2 deeper screw mounting holes to make all the mounting holes require the same mounting screw lengths. Version G - Cleaned up the design. Only minor tweaks to a very popular and successful design.
